Summer Splash Card Kits

Hello everyone,

It's been a long time, about a year long time, since I've posted on my blog!  

But, I have great news.  I've teamed up with two very creative demonstrations to offer you three card kits by mail.  You can select one, two, or all three kits.  Everything you see in the photos will be included as these cards do not have any stamped images. PDF's will be emailed to you on the day the kits are shipped.   Best part, you will receive an ENTIRE package of the 12x12 DSP in each kit AND the package of the embellishments. These are the treat holders that I had made for my flight to Michigan.  I put a York Peppermint Candy in as the treat. They are fast and easy and it seemed like the Flight Attendants and Pilots really appreciated the gesture.  
 

The new Catalog will be available to me on March 29, and I am excited to see what they did with the color refresh.  We already know that Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock are coming back and from what I've been reading it sounds like at least two from every color family will be replaced.  Any guesses as to what colors will leave when those two come back?  Check out my newsletter for a contest.

That refresh means that the outgoing colors will be while supply lasts only.  If you have a favorite or two I suggest you let me know and get those ordered.  Once they are gone -- they are gone.  That includes the cardstock, ink pads and re-inkers.  Jot down what you'd like so you'll be ready once the retired list is posted.

Limes with the Sweet Citrus Bundle

Combine the Sweet Citrus Bundle and a fun fold card card and this makes you look like you've spent hours creating.  The bundle includes the stamp set, the embossing folder and the dies.  The embossing folder is called a hybrid where you dry emboss and die cut at the same time.  No lining up dies and tacking them down.  The way the die cut fits into the folder it eliminates the need to tack anything.  It almost feels like it lock into place.  What a game changer.

Instructions:

open the card and glue the Pear Pizzazz onto the center of the left side

glue the Basic White onto the Pear Pizzazz

glue the DSP onto the Basic White

glue the circle from the Beautiful Shapes Dies onto that DSP

stamp, emboss and cut using the hybrid folder in the bundle

stamp and cut 3 of the flowers

stamp and cut 2 sets of leaves 

arrange the limes on the front and put a Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel into the center of each flower

fold the shorter side of the Pear Pizzazz base over the images and glue the 4 x 3 DSP on (it will be the outside of the card)

stamp the inside and add a lime or flower image

Instructions:

`glue the DSP onto the Mango Medley base

 `stamp the carrots across the front of the Thick Basic White ( stamp an extra Rich Razzleberry carrot and cut it out

~place a post-it on top of the carrots and stamp the stems

~glue the stamped carrot Thick Basic White onto the Mango Medley

~Place dimensionals on the back of the Mango Medley and put on the DSP

~using mini dimensionals, attach the cut out Rich Razzleberry carrot on top of the stamped image

~make a small bow from the twine and using a glue dot attach to the Rich Razzleberry carrot

~stamp the saying in Old Olive and attach to a strip of Mango Medley

~stamp 2 Pumpkin Pie carrots and 1 Rich Razzleberry carrot to the Thick Basic White and glue into the inside of the card.

~finish with placing 3 Pearl Basic Jewels on the front

 What started as a photo of our mountains and valley floor turned into a cover for a sketch pad.  A friend asked to buy my paints that we use for ceramics.  I said she could HAVE them.  However, in the exchange, she left me money.  We were out walking one day and she was telling me about her birding and mentioning how she'd like to start sketching them. 

That opened the door to my purchasing a sketch pad, pens, colored pencils, crayons and a cute little pouch for them.  I then set to work making a cover for the plain old sketch pad based off my mountain photo.  

I added, subtracted, fixed errors and finally felt satisfied.  I have to admit that it was fun to create something other than a card.  

 

Sunday afternoon creating.  A smaller group than normal but just as much laughing and chatting.

Instructions:

~glue the DSP strip 1 1/2 inches from the left side of the Thick Basic White

~glue onto the Starry Sky base

~stamp the birdhouse on the left side of the Thick Basic White and color

~add the flowers to the bottom - color

~stamp the branch - add the bird - stamp the "hello" in Starry Sky onto the Thick Basic White

~glue the Thick Basic White onto the Starry Sky cardstock

~glue these two onto the DSP strip about 1 1/4 down from the top

~open the card up and match up the inside piece with the stamped branch image

~put glue on the back of the of the Starry Sky cardstock and carefully bring it closed and line up directly under the top layer.

~stamp words and a small leaf and flower on the inside

Basic Instructions:

~ adhere one 5 1/4 Basic White onto card base and the other inside the card

~emboss the 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White with the Everygreen Forest 3D folder/adhere to the Basic White layer

~using the blender pens randomly put color onto the vellum that mimics a sunrise or sunset

      ~ fill the water painter with 91% alcohol and move the color around blending into each other

       ~cut the vellum into 3 sections -- I did 1 1/2, and 2- 1 inch, adhere to emboss layer

~cut one black tree and adhere on the left side

~stamp the mountains and heat emboss using white emboss powder/cut using mountain die

~adhere the strip from In Good Taste DSP onto the vellum

~pop up the cut mountains with dimensionals

~stamp and heat emboss words with white emboss powder

~make a bow and adhere behind the words

~stamp one or two trees on the inside in black Memento Tuxedo Black

4th of July Fireworks card

A quick and easy card to wish someone a Happy 4th or for anyone having a July birthday.  Change up the colors and anyone can have a fireworks birthday any month of the year.

   With this two step stamp the less perfect, the better it looks for a real firework explosion.

scrap Thick Basic White for alphabet letters

Basic Instructions:

1.  Adhere Real Red onto Night of Navy in the landscape direction.

2.  Stamp Real Red solid flower several times and then Night of Navy solid flower several times

3.  Using the outline stamp, go over the red and blue.  It works and looks better without trying to line it up.  

4.  Stamp the dots to fill some of the white space.  I stamped off once.  

5.  I used Glad Press'Seal to line up my letters taped to grid paper with Post It tape.  Put the letters upside down; left to right. (Don't worry about centering because you can center when you flip it onto the blue.)  

6.  Carefully, add a small amount of liquid glue to each letter.

7.  Flip the letters right side up and adhere onto the blue strip.

8.  Glue the blue onto the red strip

9.  Adhere the Basic White to the inside of the card.  I also stamped a flower "fireworks" to the bottom right corner.

10.  Add 3 Basic Rhinestone jewels as a touch of sparkle.
